LEAYSA Softball uses player evaluations to allow coaches to view players before the team drafts.

Players cycle through base running, fielding, and hitting drills. Players are not required to have any experience to attend. Evaluations are used to see basic softball skills of each player.

Evaluations are meant to be simple and fun.  They are designed for coaches to get an idea of what skills each player has and what she needs to improve on.

All new players and players not returning to their previous teams are invited to attend evaluations for divisions 8U and up.

There are no evaluations for the 4U and 6U age divisions.

If a player does not attend the evaluation, they will be placed in the blind draft.
