How to Apply for Financial Assistance
The request process is very straightforward. To ensure proper due diligence, every request is examined and assessed on its own merit.
  • Once the documents have been submitted, the LEAYSA Baseball Board will review the request.
  • Review Period can take up to 5 days to complete after regular registration is completed.
  • LEAYSA Baseball Board will respond indicating the document has been received, ask questions, and/or ask for additional documentation
  • After the close of regular registration the LEAYSA Baseball Board will respond via e-mail with a decision on the request.
Terms and Conditions
If the request is approved, the following terms and conditions will apply:
  1. Participant should NOT be playing in any “Select” program, regardless of sport.
  2. The financial assistance covers the registration fee only for one season in all or in part. The scholarship does not cover player equipment or uniform accessories outside of Baseball cap & Jersey such as (bat, gloves, socks, pants, or belts).
  3. Parent or legal guardian agrees to "re-pay" the League through volunteering hours at League functions and activities.
    1. 50% of the volunteer hours must be completed by mid-season, and the remaining 50% to be completed at least 1 week before the end of regular season.
    2. The Baseball board will outline, at the beginning of the season after registration has closed, the due dates upon which hours must be completed by in order to retain the financial assistance.
      1. If hours are not completed by the due dates set, the financial assistance will be revoked and payment must be made within two weeks of the missed due date.
  4. If the recipient (parent or legal guardian) is unable to complete volunteer hours to “re-pay” the league the following conditions will apply:
    1. The original registration fee (in whole or in part) will be applied back on the members account and the account will be considered outstanding.
    2. The registration fee will then be due in full. Players with outstanding balances will be ineligible for playoff games, end of season awards, and future registrations until balance is resolved.
  5. The player must meet all residence and proof age requirements (all required documents must be verified prior to the skills evaluations) A registration form must be completed for the player - providing essential details including address, contact information, media and medical authorization.
