• All head coaches, assistant coaches and team moms must submit to a background check.  If for any reason a particular coach does not pass the criminal background check, they will not be eligible to participate as a LEAYSA CHEER coach.  Special circumstances may be presented to the board and reviewed.

• To assist in the selection of Head Coaches, in the case of more applicants than Head Coach openings within an age group, the following points system may be instituted:

ͦ 1 point for attending each scheduled open board meeting; and

ͦ 1 point for attending each scheduled coaches’ meeting/clinics.

• The board holds the final decision on all head coaching applicants

• The Director of Coaches shall take the coaches applicants and all applications will be submitted to the Board for approval.  The Board can consider parent requests for not returning to a team in the approval of coaches.  The Director of Coaches will track all these requests.  The Board of Directors of LEAYSA CHEER is the final authority in the selection and eligibility of coaches.
